You meet a stranger. You hand them a key. You show them where you sleep.

Then there is Charlet.

RoomMate is a psychological horror thriller from writer and comedian ChadO, following a deeply damaged and lethally dangerous woman who finds potential victims through roommate wanted ads.

What begins as an ordinary search for someone to split the rent becomes something far more disturbing.

Charlet carries a past filled with abuse, violence, and trauma, but this is not a redemption story. She is calculated, obsessive, unpredictable, and very good at getting close enough to hurt people.

The audiobook pulls listeners directly into the story with the intimacy that makes horror audio especially uncomfortable. Put on your headphones, close the door, and spend some time inside Charlet’s world.

Probably not before meeting someone from Craigslist.

For listeners who enjoy:

Psychological horror
Serial killer fiction
Dark thrillers
Graphic and disturbing horror
Unreliable and dangerous characters
Stories about ordinary situations turning very, very wrong

RoomMate contains adult themes, strong language, graphic violence, abuse, and disturbing material. It is intended for mature audiences.

Charlet is the roommate you never want but can’t get rid of.
Her routines are obsessive.
Her past is soaked in things no one talks about out loud.
She notices details you didn’t even know you were hiding.

Her production studio is spotless.
Too spotless.
The air feels wrong.
And if you think you’re safe, you’re already missing something.

RoomMate is a psychological horror novel that crawls under your skin and stays there. Written by comedian and Hollywood optioned screenwriter ChadO, the story moves fast, cuts sharp, and never gives you solid ground. It’s uncomfortable on purpose.

Loosely based on true events, RoomMate blurs the line between victim and villain until the difference stops mattering. Control, manipulation, and survival twist together in ways that feel uncomfortably familiar.

This isn’t a slow burn you forget.
It’s the kind of story that lingers in your house after you close the book.
